Perseus Mining (Tanzania) Limited (SMLC) is seeking a skilled and proactive Plant Metallurgist to join our gold processing operations. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for monitoring and driving plant performance, focusing on maximizing recovery rates, ensuring process stability, and optimizing operational workflows to deliver significant value to our mining activities.
The successful candidate will work directly at the heart of our operations, taking ownership of metallurgical processes and environmental stewardship. You will lead initiatives to improve efficiency, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-performance standards in a safe, sustainable, and commercially viable manner.

Key Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Minerals Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgical or mineral processing roles.
Prior experience in gold processing operations is highly preferred.
Proven experience managing laboratory operations and metallurgical test work programs.
Strong understanding of environmental and sustainability considerations in processing.
Ability to champion a zero-harm safety culture within all processing operations.
Strong analytical skills for incident investigation and process troubleshooting.
Commercially astute with the ability to link performance to business value.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities to inspire high performance in others.
Solutions-focused mindset with the ability to resolve operational issues with urgency.
