MECHANICAL PLANNER @ PERSEUS MINING (TANZANIA) LIMITED
Perseus Mining (Tanzania) Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Planner to support maintenance planning, scheduling, resource coordination, equipment reliability, and maintenance performance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Planning Superintendent, Mechanical team, Reliability, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Stores, Procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure maintenance activities are properly planned, resourced, and executed safely and efficiently. The role also requires maintaining accurate maintenance information within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This position involves coordinating with various departments to ensure that maintenance activities align with production targets while adhering to strict safety protocols. Successful applicants will be responsible for managing work orders, optimizing preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring that all necessary resources and spare parts are available prior to commencing work. This role is essential for maintaining equipment uptime and maximizing operational efficiency within the challenging mining environment.
Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance Planning
Trade qualification or Diploma in Maintenance or a related technical field
Experience using Pronto CMMS or SAP is required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Valid approved driver’s licence
Ability to read and interpret OEM/vendor manuals and mechanical drawings
Strong knowledge of mining and mineral processing equipment
Proven ability to develop detailed and executable maintenance work packages
Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques
