As a Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting precise physical site surveys, managing site challenges, and ensuring all project data meets contractual standards. This role requires technical proficiency with modern surveying tools and a commitment to maintaining site equipment in optimal condition. You will play a crucial role in the development cycle by bridging the gap between field data and architectural planning. The position is based in Moshi, Tanzania, and requires a professional capable of working in dynamic field environments. Successful candidates will supervise field staff and coordinate closely with management to deliver accurate project findings and profile drawings. We prioritize candidates who are methodical, analytical, and capable of delivering high-quality results under project deadlines.
Key Requirements
Diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or a relevant special course.
3-5 years of professional experience in a similar surveying role.
Proficiency in design and visualization software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations for terrain measurements.
Experience in handling Total Station, GPS, and other modern survey equipment.
Strong analytical aptitude with a logical and methodical approach to field work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team coordination.
Capacity to handle site challenges and provide guidance to field staff.
Attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy and documentation.
Ability to maintain focus under pressure to meet tight project deadlines.
