FINANCE MANAGER CUM ACCOUNTANT @ PEOPLE PROJECT
This exciting opportunity is for a Finance Manager Cum Accountant to join the Finance Department at People Project Co. in Arusha, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive financial management, overseeing accounting operations, and ensuring robust budgeting and cost control. This role is pivotal in managing project finance, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring strict adherence to statutory compliance within Tanzania.Key responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining strong internal controls, proactively identifying and mitigating financial risks, and providing leadership within the finance function. The role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of Tanzanian tax regulations and experience in managing financial operations in a project-based environment.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
CPA (T), ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based industries is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, cash flow management, and project costing.
Experience using accounting software and ERP systems.
Sound understanding of Tanzanian statutory and tax regulations.
Ability to lead and administer finance functions.
Proficiency in internal controls and risk management.
