Park Hyatt Zanzibar is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to support the Engineering Manager in ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our infrastructure and upholding the luxury brand standards our guests expect.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations, managing preventive maintenance programs, and diagnosing technical faults. You will also participate in engineering projects, manage departmental records, and ensure that our facility operations align with health, safety, and sustainability protocols. Key Requirements
Previous experience in an engineering supervisory role in a hotel or similar environment
Working knowledge of Transcendent Systems
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of health, safety and sustainability standards
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to act as the Engineering Manager when required
Proficiency in managing departmental records and inventories
Technical expertise in diagnosing equipment faults
Ability to oversee facility renovations and improvements
Capacity to coordinate complex maintenance schedules
