FINANCIAL INSTITUTION BANKER / RELATIONSHIP MANAGER (NORTH ASIA CHINA COVERAGE) @ PAN & COMPANY PTE LTD
Our client is a recently established financial institution undergoing a phase of international growth and platform expansion in Hong Kong. As part of its ongoing build-out, the institution is investing in a high-quality client servicing team to support its growing corporate client base and ensure the delivery of consistent, best-in-class service standards. Reporting to the CEO, the Financial Institution Banker will be responsible for executing business plans to grow the Financial Institutions (FI) portfolio across Greater China by acquiring importer/exporter clients and expanding existing relationships.
The role focuses on originating trade finance and FI transactions, delivering revenue targets, and ensuring full compliance with credit, AML, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include driving new client acquisition, originating trade finance transactions, and maintaining relationships with 30–50 clients. Candidates must have a strong background in correspondent banking and be able to monitor portfolio performance and market trends effectively while collaborating with Transaction Banking teams to deliver cross-sell opportunities.

Key Requirements
Minimum 10 years of banking experience, with a focus on Chinese Banks or Financial Institutions.
Extensive experience in Correspondent Banking or Transaction Banking within the Asian market.
Proven track record in client acquisition, relationship management, and consistent revenue generation.
Strong knowledge of trade finance products and financial instrument structuring.
Advanced proficiency in credit analysis and risk management frameworks.
Fluency in English and Mandarin, with a focus on North Asia business communication.
Deep understanding of KYC/CDD, AML, and regional regulatory requirements.
Ability to manage and grow a portfolio of 30–50 high-value corporate clients.
Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with Corporate and Transaction Banking teams.
Capability to monitor market trends and credit risks to ensure timely issue resolution.
Excellent reporting skills for portfolio performance and compliance audits.
