The Country Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing a massive fleet of 1,200 vehicles operating across Congo and other diverse countries throughout East and Central Africa. This senior-level role requires a professional with high integrity to lead complex logistics operations, ensuring that the fleet is utilized efficiently and maintained to the highest standards. The manager will develop strategic plans to optimize cross-border transport routes and ensure that all operations comply with international and regional transport regulations.
In addition to operational oversight, the successful candidate will be expected to manage a large team of drivers, maintenance staff, and administrative personnel across multiple regions. You will be responsible for implementing robust monitoring systems to track vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and safety compliance. Key Requirements
Post-graduate degree in Fleet Management or Logistics Management.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing a large fleet at a senior level.
Demonstrated high level of integrity and professional ethics in previous roles.
Proven ability to manage logistics operations involving over 1,000 vehicles.
Extensive experience in navigating logistics corridors within East and Central Africa.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse, multi-national teams.
In-depth knowledge of international transport laws and cross-border documentation.
Expertise in implementing and utilizing fleet management and telematics software.
Strategic thinking capabilities to optimize route efficiency and reduce operational costs.
