ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT @ OUTSTANDING -SOLUTIONS
OUTSTANDING -SOLUTIONS is seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join their team in the hospitality sector in Zanzibar. The role involves assisting in the preparation of financial reports, performing reconciliations, and maintaining accurate accounting records. The successful candidate will manage daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and petty cash, while supporting payroll processing and employee expense management to ensure smooth finance operations. In addition to daily accounting tasks, the Assistant Accountant will handle statutory payments and ensure full compliance with local regulations such as ZSSF, PAYE, VAT, WHT, and SDL. You will provide administrative and audit support, liaising with auditors and providing necessary financial documentation as required. This opportunity is specifically open to Tanzanian applicants who possess a strong understanding of Tanzanian tax laws and have experience with modern accounting software and AI tools. Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of professional accounting experience with basic principles knowledge.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Zoho.
Experience using AI tools for accounting and financial efficiency.
Excellent email writing and Microsoft Office application skills.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and statutory requirements.
Experience handling ZSSF, PAYE, VAT, WHT, and SDL filings.
Competence in managing petty cash and daily financial transactions.
