LIGHTS ENGINEER @ OSBORNS EXHIBITION
Osborns Exhibition is seeking a creative and technically proficient Lights Engineer to volunteer their skills in illuminating our events. You will be responsible for designing, setting up, and operating lighting systems that enhance the visual appeal and atmosphere of our exhibitions and performances. This role offers an exciting opportunity to use light as a powerful storytelling tool, creating dynamic and immersive immersive environments for our attendees. Your responsibilities will include interpreting creative briefs, programming lighting sequences on a console, maintaining lighting fixtures, and ensuring all lighting elements function seamlessly throughout the event. You will work in conjunction with other technical teams to synchronize lighting with sound and video, contributing to a cohesive production. We are looking for an individual with a strong artistic vision, technical acumen, and a passion for creating impactful visual experiences through lighting.
Key Requirements
Experience with stage lighting systems and control consoles.
Technical knowledge of various lighting fixtures (LEDs, moving lights, conventional).
Ability to design and program lighting cues for different event scenarios.
Strong understanding of DMX protocols and lighting networks.
Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting lighting equipment.
Experience with setting up and rigging lighting structures safely.
Creative eye for visual aesthetics and mood creation through lighting.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with event producers.
Familiarity with electrical safety procedures.
Physical ability to work at heights and lift equipment.
