HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (HR) @ ONFON MICROFINANCE
Onfon Microfinance is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer (HR) to join its team. This role is central to the organization's mission, supporting daily HR operations, recruitment, and employee relations to ensure a productive work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and interviewing candidates to facilitating smooth onboarding processes for new hires. Additionally, the HR Officer will play a key role in maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring that all organizational practices remain in strict compliance with local labor laws. Beyond administrative tasks, the Human Resources Officer will support performance management initiatives and staff development programs aimed at fostering professional growth within the company. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between management and employees, addressing concerns and providing guidance on HR policies. By implementing best practices and leveraging HR software, the officer will contribute to the overall efficiency and culture of Onfon Microfinance. Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of organizational dynamics are essential for success in this multifaceted role.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of proven HR experience.
Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and HR best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
Ability to handle conflict resolution and problem-solving effectively.
Experience with HR software and management information systems.
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
Proactive approach to staff development and employee engagement.
