ACCOUNTANT (1 POSITION) @ ONFON MICROFINANCE
OnFon Microfinance is recruiting an Accountant to oversee our financial operations in Dar es Salaam. This role entails managing fixed asset registers, performing physical verifications, and ensuring all financial documentation is maintained to the highest standard. You will also be responsible for processing monthly payroll and ensuring full statutory compliance including PAYE, NSSF, WCF, SDL, and NHIF submissions.
Beyond payroll and assets, you will handle general ledgers, assist in month and year-end closing processes, and support internal and external audits. We require a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of Tanzanian tax laws and accounting standards. The successful candidate will work closely with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and transparency across the organization. This position requires someone with a professional certification and proven ability to work with modern accounting software.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
In-depth knowledge of accounting standards
Strong understanding of Tanzanian statutory laws
Experience with accounting software
Proven expertise in payroll processing
Ability to manage fixed asset registers
Experience with financial reconciliations
Competence in audit support processes
Strong analytical and numerical skills
