IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST (2 POSITIONS) @ ONFON MEDIA
Onfon Media is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our technical team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level technical assistance, specifically focusing on API support, system maintenance, and entry-level software development. You will work closely with the development team to ensure the seamless integration and performance of our digital services while troubleshooting complex issues across various platforms. This role is ideal for a proactive individual looking to grow their technical expertise in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
In addition to daily technical tasks, you will be expected to maintain and optimize Linux-based operating systems and manage SQL databases to support our internal and client-facing applications. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Node Js, PHP, and Javascript.
Proven experience troubleshooting and maintaining RESTful and SOAP APIs.
Solid knowledge of SQL databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience working with Linux Operating systems.
Above 1 year of professional experience in software development or software support.
Ability to support multiple projects and deliver results on strict deadlines.
Proven experience working effectively in cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for technical issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain concepts to stakeholders.
High adaptability to learn new technologies and changing project requirements.
Familiarity with IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, and Android Studio.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or soapUI.
High attention to detail to ensure software quality and support accuracy.
