Omahz HR is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement Officer to support a significant construction project located in Michamvi, Zanzibar. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all necessary materials, machinery, and subcontracted services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively to maintain the project timeline and quality standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, from strategic planning and vendor negotiation to the final delivery and quality verification of site materials. This role requires a professional who can manage tight deadlines and work effectively within a dynamic construction environment to ensure project budgets are strictly adhered to.

Key Requirements
Degree, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
Proven practical experience in procurement specifically for construction site projects.
Deep understanding of construction materials including steel, aggregates, and heavy machinery.
Experience in managing subcontracted works and services.
Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and payment terms with vendors.
Ability to develop and execute comprehensive procurement plans.
Proficiency in issuing Purchase Orders (POs) and Local Purchase Orders (LPOs).
Strong analytical skills for tracking project budgets and expenditures.
Excellent organizational skills for coordinating logistics and site deliveries.
Commitment to maintaining high quality standards and compliance with safety regulations.
