HEAD OF MOORING & BUNKERING @ OFFSHORE MOORING LIMITED
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Head of Mooring & Bunkering Operations to lead and oversee all mooring and bunkering activities at our facility in Zanzibar. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and fully compliant marine operations, maintaining high standards of excellence across all port activities. You will lead the operational strategy, coordinate complex vessel movements, and oversee a diverse team of marine professionals to ensure seamless turnaround and cargo handling.
The role involves managing mooring crews, bunkering teams, and contractors while enforcing rigorous safety protocols and international maritime standards. You will act as the primary point of contact for vessel Masters and pilots, ensuring that all logistical requirements are met without compromise. This is a critical leadership position requiring a proactive approach to risk management, equipment maintenance, and operational optimization to drive the company's growth in the maritime sector.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
8-10 years of experience in marine terminal operations, mooring, or bunkering.
At least 5 years of proven experience in a senior leadership or management role.
Comprehensive knowledge of international maritime regulations and safety compliance.
Strong ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary marine and technical teams.
Proficiency in developing and enforcing operational procedures and risk assessments.
Excellent stakeholder coordination skills, particularly with vessel Masters and port pilots.
Ability to manage technical documentation and monitor equipment integrity effectively.
Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities under pressure in marine environments.
Effective communication skills for coordinating multi-party marine logistics operations.
