Ocean Paradise Resort & Spa Zanzibar is seeking a creative and energetic Social Media Coordinator to join our team on-site in paradise. This role is perfect for a visual storyteller who is passionate about travel, luxury hospitality, and showcasing the natural beauty of Zanzibar to a global audience. You will be responsible for crafting engaging stories, managing our online presence, and capturing the unique magic of our resort through high-quality visual content.
As the Social Media Coordinator, you will work closely with the marketing team to develop content strategies, use tools like Canva and Meta Business Suite, and edit high-quality videos using CapCut. This is a one-year renewable contract position that offers a variety of perks including meals, transport, medical insurance, and performance-based bonuses. Key Requirements
Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
Possess a Certificate or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
At least 1 year of professional experience managing social media platforms.
Highly skilled in using Canva for graphic design and visual layouts.
Proficient in Meta Business Suite for post scheduling and audience analytics.
Skilled in video editing using CapCut or similar mobile editing applications.
Demonstrated ability to create energetic, creative, and engaging visual content.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple content calendars simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to represent a luxury brand.
Willingness to live and work on-site at the resort in Zanzibar.
Previous experience in the hospitality or tourism industry is a major advantage.
Must provide a visual portfolio showcasing previous social media or content creation work.
