CHINESE TRANSLATORS (2 POSITIONS) @ NYATI MINERALS SANDS LIMITED
Nyati Minerals Sands Limited is looking for two Chinese Translators to facilitate seamless communication at the Tajiri Mine Site in Pangani, Tanga. This role is crucial for bridging the communication gap between Chinese expatriates, local staff, government officials, and various stakeholders. The successful candidates will provide real-time verbal interpretation during meetings and site visits, ensuring that all technical and operational instructions are clearly understood by all parties involved.
In addition to verbal interpretation, the translators will be responsible for the accurate translation of technical, legal, and safety documentation. They will act as a vital liaison across different departments while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. This position requires individuals who are not only linguistically proficient in Mandarin and English but also culturally sensitive and highly organized to support the administrative needs of the mine site operations.

Key Requirements
Tertiary education degree or equivalent qualification
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written)
Fluency in English language
Proficiency in Kiswahili is highly advantageous
1–2 years of professional translation experience specifically Mandarin-English
Ability to translate technical, legal, and operational documents
Excellent verbal interpretation skills for high-stakes meetings
High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
Strong interpersonal skills for cross-cultural coordination
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative capabilities
