PROCUREMENT AND CONTRACT OFFICER @ NYATI MINERALS
Nyati Minerals Sands is seeking a dedicated Procurement and Contract Officer to join their team, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager. The primary purpose of this role is to manage and assess products, services, and suppliers, while negotiating contracts across all company mining operations. The officer will play a critical role in ensuring the supply chain functions efficiently to support the site's ongoing activities.
Key responsibilities include developing procurement standards, monitoring internal stock levels, managing incoming order requests, and ensuring that all supplies meet strict quality benchmarks. The successful candidate will also manage vendor relationships, coordinate with the accounts department for timely payments, and maintain meticulous purchase records. The role requires a proactive approach to budgeting and contract management to ensure optimal operational performance.

Key Requirements
Degree in Procurement, supply chain management or a relevant field.
Certified Member on Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technician Board (PSPTB).
3 - 4 years of experience in a similar procurement role.
Mining industry experience is highly preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
Valid Tanzania Driving License.
Proficiency in contract negotiation and vendor assessment.
Ability to manage and estimate procurement budgets accurately.
Attention to detail in record-keeping and data management.
Demonstrated ability to meet internal stock demand and quality standards.
