CHINESE TRANSLATOR (2 POSITIONS) @ NYATI MINERAL SANDS LIMITED
Nyati Mineral Sands Limited is actively seeking to employ two highly qualified Chinese Translators. The primary purpose of these roles is to facilitate seamless communication between Chinese expatriate staff, local employees, various government authorities, and key business partners. The successful candidates will be instrumental in bridging language gaps by providing both written translation services for documents and verbal interpretation during essential discussions and engagements.
Key responsibilities include delivering accurate interpretation during important meetings, site visits, and official company engagements. Translators will also be tasked with translating a variety of documents, such as reports, letters, contracts, and official correspondence, ensuring precision and fidelity to the original meaning. Furthermore, these roles involve supporting Chinese staff in their interactions with government institutions and other relevant stakeholders, and assisting with Administration and Human Resources functions as needed. A crucial aspect of the position is maintaining strict confidentiality of all company information. The translators will also be expected to perform any other duties assigned by their supervisor, contributing to the overall operational efficiency and cross-cultural understanding within the company.

Key Requirements
Tertiary education in a relevant field such as linguistics, translation, or a related discipline
Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, encompassing excellent spoken and written communication skills in both languages
Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse groups of people
Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure while consistently maintaining a high level of professionalism
Previous experience in a similar translation or interpretation role is highly advantageous and preferred
Strong cultural sensitivity and awareness to navigate diverse communication styles and nuances
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all translation and interpretation tasks
Proficiency in various translation tools and software, if applicable
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive company information with the utmost discretion
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple translation projects and deadlines simultaneously
