A leading company in the construction and building materials industry based in Dubai is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be integral to the financial operations of the company, handling essential tasks such as VAT filing, managing the WPS Payroll system, and performing thorough bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. This role is ideal for a professional with a solid foundation in accounting within the UAE construction sector. Salary for this position is AED 5,000 plus benefits.
Beyond technical accounting tasks, the Accountant will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records using Tally Prime or QuickBooks software. The role requires a candidate who can work efficiently under pressure to meet month-end deadlines and support the management team with insightful financial reports. Given the urgent nature of this hire, preference will be given to candidates who are currently in the UAE and can join the company immediately. Key Requirements
1–3 years of experience in UAE Construction or Contracting accounting.
Demonstrated expertise in UAE VAT filing and compliance.
Proficiency in processing payroll through the WPS system.
Strong experience in performing comprehensive bank reconciliations.
Hands-on proficiency in using Tally Prime accounting software.
Hands-on proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software.
Ability to join the company immediately upon selection.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to financial detail.
Solid understanding of general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
