PROJECT COORDINATOR @ NORTHERN ENGINEERING WORKS LIMITED
Northern Engineering Works Limited is hiring a Project Coordinator to provide essential technical and administrative support for fiber optic projects. This role includes conducting technical site surveys, implementation planning, and overseeing specific installation tasks such as splicing and OTDR testing. The coordinator ensures that all documentation is accurate and that site activities like trenching and cable blowing align with technical requirements. Beyond technical tasks, the Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all site activities adhere to HSE procedures and OSHA regulations. You will collaborate closely with other departments to manage budgets and technical specifications. This position offers the opportunity to work on significant infrastructure projects across Tanzania, requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and organizational excellence.
Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT, or related discipline
Minimum 3 years’ experience in telecom or fiber optic project coordination
Proficiency in technical site surveys and implementation planning
Knowledge of fiber optic installation, splicing, and OTDR testing
Experience in supervising trenching, duct laying, and cable blowing
Ability to handle project documentation and budgeting support
Understanding of ODF installation
Compliance with HSE procedures and OSHA
Willingness to work in any region within Tanzania
Strong communication and organizational skills
