BUSINESS ANALYST @ NORTHERN BASE
Northern Base is seeking a dedicated Business Analyst for a contract position involving hybrid work arrangements. The primary focus of this role is to capture functional requirements and exception scenarios for key domains while defining and designing critical business processes. You will collaborate closely with client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure that all business needs are accurately translated into functional specifications. Possible work locations for this hybrid role include New York, Washington DC, and Houston, TX.
The role also involves significant participation in the quality assurance phase, where you will support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Candidates are responsible for validating functional outputs and reports to ensure they meet the defined business criteria. This position is specifically open to US Citizens and Green Card holders only, ideally those with a background or interest in the gas and energy sectors.

Key Requirements
Capture functional requirements and exception scenarios for key domains.
Define and design key business processes in collaboration with client SMEs.
Support System Integration Testing (SIT) for related functional scenarios.

Validate functional outputs and reports against requirements.
Must be a US Citizen (USC) or Green Card (GC) holder.
Experience or knowledge in the gas and energy industry domains.
Ability to work in a hybrid onsite model in designated locations.
Strong analytical skills to identify business process improvements.
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and documentation.
