Our client, a prominent hospitality group operating multiple restaurants and cafeterias across Tanzania, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team in Dodoma. This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial health of the group, ensuring that all accounting functions across various locations are executed with precision, transparency, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in the hospitality sector and a proven track record of managing complex financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including the preparation of detailed financial statements, budget management, and the implementation of robust internal controls. Beyond day-to-day bookkeeping, the role involves strategic analysis of financial data to provide actionable insights that support the group's expansion and operational goals. You will work closely with management to ensure full compliance with local tax laws and audit requirements, while mentoring junior staff and streamlining accounting processes.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience.
At least 2 years in a senior accounting or leadership role.
Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis for multi-location businesses.
Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax compliance and regulatory standards.
Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Workpay, or other ERP systems.
Demonstrated ability in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills for providing strategic financial insights to management.
