DRIVER @ NEELKANTHSALT
Neelkanth Salt is seeking a dedicated and professional Driver to join our logistics and transportation team based in Mkuranga, Pwani. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe and timely transport of goods or personnel as required by the company's daily operations. The successful candidate will be expected to adhere strictly to all local traffic laws and internal safety protocols to maintain the company's reputation for reliability. Beyond driving, the role includes maintaining the vehicle's cleanliness and performing routine inspections to ensure mechanical soundness. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage their time effectively, navigate the local geography of Pwani efficiently, and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding vehicle status or any delays. Punctuality and a high level of personal integrity are essential traits for success in this role at Neelkanth Salt.
Key Requirements
Valid driving license with the appropriate class for commercial or passenger vehicles.
Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing setting.
In-depth knowledge of road safety regulations and Tanzania traffic laws.
Demonstrated sense of responsibility, integrity, and punctuality.
Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and identify mechanical issues promptly.
Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with routes in Mkuranga and the Pwani region.
A clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
Physical fitness and the ability to handle long hours behind the wheel.
Effective communication skills in Swahili and basic English.
Flexibility to work outside regular business hours if operational needs arise.
