QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (QCI) - SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY @ NDT OF WELDING
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Inspector (QCI) for the shipbuilding industry based in Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all quality control activities, ensuring that construction and maintenance projects meet the highest standards of safety and technical quality. This role involves conducting detailed inspections of structural components, welding work, and technical systems to verify compliance with engineering specifications and international regulatory requirements within the maritime sector.
This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 2000 to USD 2500 per month, depending on your interview performance and professional experience. The role follows a standard rotation schedule of six months on-duty followed by one month of leave. Key Requirements
Strong knowledge of Shipbuilding QC activities and procedures.
Relevant professional experience in Shipbuilding Quality Control Inspection.
Excellent communication skills and deep technical understanding of marine engineering.
Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
Proficiency in conducting structural and welding inspections using international standards.
Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and documentation of results.
Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and industry-specific regulations.
Ability to work effectively within a rotation schedule of 6 months on and 1 month off.
Strong analytical skills for identifying defects and performing root cause analysis.
Competence in maintaining detailed inspection records and preparing comprehensive quality reports.
