2 MOTORMAN @ NAVIS
Navis is recruiting for Motormen to assist in the engine room of a modern SOV DP2 vessel powered by a 12,480kW Mcr system with battery assistance. The vessel is currently transiting to Norway for a project based in the North Sea, within the UK's 12-nautical-mile zone. The joining date is set for May 10th in Norway. This role is essential for the technical upkeep and smooth operation of the vessel's propulsion and auxiliary systems during the 8-week wind farm support project.
The Motorman will work under the direction of the engineering officers, performing routine maintenance, monitoring gauges, and ensuring the engine room remains clean and safe. Candidates must have specific offshore experience and meet the nationality requirements for UK-based projects. The contract offers negotiable wages and a duration of 4 to 8 weeks. Key Requirements
Minimum 12 months experience as a Motorman on offshore vessels
Valid STCW and COP certifications for engine department
HUET with CA-EBS certification is required
EU National or Ukrainian under UK protection status
Valid UK Foreign Worker Permit (FWP)
Strong technical knowledge of marine diesel engines and battery systems
Ability to work in confined engine room spaces
Experience with DP2 vessel technical systems is a plus
Good understanding of engine room safety and emergency procedures
Commitment to an 8-week project duration
