Key responsibilities for this position encompass aiding engineers with project planning and execution, including the creation of design calculations and technical drawings using software like AutoCAD/Civil 3D. The technician will conduct critical site inspections, perform field measurements, and carry out material testing to guarantee adherence to quality benchmarks. Additional duties include monitoring construction progress, preparing detailed daily and weekly site reports for management review, and assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, and other essential project documentation. The role demands ensuring compliance with Tanzanian construction codes, occupational health and safety protocols, and environmental regulations, as well as coordinating activities effectively with contractors, surveyors, and other project team members.

Key Requirements
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Highway Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architectural Draughtsman ship or related field from a NACTE/VETA recognized institution.
2-5 years of practical experience in civil engineering or construction.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other civil engineering software.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures.
Ability to conduct site inspections, field measurements, and material testing.
Experience in monitoring construction progress and preparing site reports.
Skill in preparing cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, and project documentation.
Familiarity with Tanzania construction codes, occupational health and safety, and environmental regulations.
Good problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively on site.
