MANAGER: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) @ NATIONAL METROLOGY INSTITUTE OF SOUTH AFRICA (NMISA)
The Manager: Information Technology (IT) at NMISA is a critical leadership role responsible for steering the institute's technological landscape. This position involves developing and implementing IT strategies that align with the scientific and metrological objectives of the organization, ensuring robust infrastructure, and maintaining high levels of data integrity and system availability across all departments in South Africa.
Key Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in a senior IT management or leadership role.
Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT or ITIL.
Experience in managing complex IT infrastructure and network environments.
Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity protocols and risk management.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong financial acumen for budget planning and vendor management.
Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with scientific and administrative teams.
Ability to drive digital transformation initiatives within a public sector organization.
