CIVIL ENGINEER @ NARMO COMPANY LIMITED
NARMO COMPANY LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Mbeya. The successful candidate will play a critical role in participating in the drafting of Verification and Certification Activity Reports (VCARS) specifically for civil works. This involves defining the scope of work and performing detailed site surveillance to certify and verify civil engineering-related tasks, including structural components along pipelines and Above Ground Installations (AGIs). The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all civil works comply with engineering designs, regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and industry standards.
The role demands a professional capable of auditing construction materials such as soil, concrete, and reinforcement bars to ensure they meet specified quality standards. Responsibilities include leading audit activities, conducting meetings with Quality Control managers, and documenting non-conformities. The engineer will also be tasked with designing and supervising infrastructure projects, identifying technical challenges, and ensuring that all personnel involved meet project standards. This is a dynamic position requiring a blend of technical expertise and management skills to handle project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in engineering software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Solid knowledge of construction management principles and structural design.
Professional registration with the relevant engineering regulatory board is an added advantage.
Experience in drafting Verification and Certification Activity Reports (VCARS).
Ability to perform site surveillance and certify structural components along pipelines.
Experience in verifying material quality for soil, concrete, and reinforcement bars.
Strong skills in conducting technical audits and managing non-conformity reports.
Proven ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
