AS/400 DEVELOPER @ NAIR SYSTEMS
Nair Systems is currently seeking an experienced AS/400 Developer to join our operations in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of specialized AS/400 applications using RPG and CL programming languages. You will work within a collaborative environment to ensure system stability and optimize application performance to meet business objectives. This role requires a professional who can navigate complex legacy systems while delivering modern software solutions.
In addition to technical execution, the successful candidate will perform system analysis and troubleshooting to resolve critical software issues. We require a developer who is detail-oriented and capable of managing the software development life cycle effectively. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results for our Qatar-based projects. Key Requirements
Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and enhancing AS/400 applications.
Proficiency in RPG programming (RPG IV, ILE, and Free-format).
Strong knowledge of CL (Control Language) programming.
Hands-on experience with DB2/400 database design and management.
Familiarity with OS/400 operating system commands and environments.
Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot complex software issues in a production environment.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and standard coding practices.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Availability to join within a period of 2 weeks to 1 month maximum.
