RESEARCH ASSISTANT (NURSE/CLINICIAN) – MULTIPLE POSTS @ MWANZA INTERVENTION TRIALS UNIT (MITU)
The Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit (MITU) is looking for Research Assistants with backgrounds in Nursing or Clinical Medicine to support an ongoing HPV vaccine trial. This position is integral to the collection of clinical data and the direct care of research participants at various trial sites. Assistants will be responsible for screening participants, collecting biological samples, and ensuring all study protocols are followed strictly. Successful candidates will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the trial remains on schedule and compliant with international standards. The role demands high levels of accuracy and sensitivity when dealing with patient records and health information. Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Nursing or Clinical Medicine
Valid professional license from relevant Tanzanian authorities
Proficiency in English and Swahili languages
Experience in conducting clinical or community-based research
Strong interpersonal skills for participant interaction
Detailed understanding of clinical data collection methods
Ability to follow complex research protocols accurately
Knowledge of HPV vaccination and related health topics
Competence in standard clinical procedures and sample handling
Proven time management and organizational skills
