TAX ACCOUNTANT (1 POSITION) @ MUMANGI CONSTRUCTION CO. LTD
MUMANGI CONSTRUCTION CO. LTD is looking for a qualified Tax Accountant to join their team in Mwanza. The primary focus of this role is to ensure full compliance with Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) regulations and handle all corporate tax matters. You will be responsible for filing VAT, PAYE, and WHT returns accurately and on time, acting as the primary point of contact for tax audits and regulatory queries.
The role requires a professional with a CPA (Intermediate or higher) and significant experience in the Tanzanian tax landscape. Beyond compliance, you will advise management on tax-related decisions and ensure that all projects and sites operate within the legal financial framework. This is a critical position requiring meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high integrity.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA (Intermediate level or above is highly required)
Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in taxation or accounting
Strong knowledge of Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) systems and procedures
Experience in filing tax returns and managing statutory obligations
Good understanding of VAT, PAYE, WHT, and corporate tax
Proficiency in accounting systems (ERP, Tally, QuickBooks)
High attention to detail, integrity, and compliance mindset
Excellent communication skills for liaison with regulatory bodies
Ability to meet strict statutory deadlines for tax filings
