PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER II (1 POST) @ MUHIMBILI UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH AND ALLIED SCIENCES (MUHAS)
The Public Relations Officer II is responsible for enhancing the visibility and brand image of MUHAS’s business and investment initiatives. This role focuses on promoting commercialization activities through strategic communication, media relations, and the professional management of digital platforms. By organizing investor forums and exhibitions, the officer will ensure that the university's development goals are effectively communicated to both internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong partnerships and institutional growth.
Daily responsibilities involve developing high-quality communication materials, including newsletters and multimedia reports, while ensuring branding consistency across all university channels. The candidate will work under the Business Development Unit to drive engagement and highlight the university's achievements in teaching and research. The compensation package follows the PGSS 61 scale, offering a monthly salary between 1.3M and 1.5M TZS, reflecting the importance of this role in the university's long-term sustainability strategy.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, or related field
Minimum 3 years relevant experience in public relations or media
Must be a Tanzanian citizen below 45 years of age
Possession of relevant academic and professional certificates
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to promote business development and commercialization activities
Experience in supporting media relations and publicity campaigns
Proficiency in managing digital platforms and social media
Skills in organizing events, exhibitions, and investor forums
Capability to develop communication materials like reports, newsletters, and multimedia
