LOGISTICS OFFICER (1 POSITION) @ MSI TANZANIA
MSI Tanzania is seeking a dedicated Logistics Officer to manage and streamline our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, and distribution of essential medical supplies and equipment to various service points across the country. This role is critical in ensuring that our clinical teams have the necessary resources to provide high-quality reproductive health services to the communities we serve.
In addition to supply chain management, the Logistics Officer will handle fleet maintenance, vendor relationships, and inventory control. We are looking for a professional who can optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience working as a Logistics Officer or in a similar supply chain role.
Strong knowledge of inventory management software and ERP systems.
Ability to coordinate complex transportation schedules and fleet operations.
Experience in procurement processes and vendor contract negotiations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize logistics routes.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations regarding the transport of medical supplies.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
