STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER @ MSHEL CONSTRUCTION
As a Structural Design Engineer at Mshel Construction, you will be a vital part of our technical team, responsible for analyzing, designing, and detailing various structural systems. You will support both building and infrastructure projects, ensuring all designs meet rigorous engineering standards and safety codes. Your role involves modeling complex systems using advanced software like SAP2000 and ETABS while collaborating closely with architectural and MEP teams to ensure seamless project integration.
Beyond technical design, you will review contractor shop drawings, address technical queries from site managers, and contribute to the firm’s continuous process improvement. The role requires a candidate who can handle the intricacies of load calculations and member design while maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders. This full-time position is based in Abuja and offers a monthly salary ranging from N300,000 to N400,000.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design focusing on building and infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or RAM Structural System.
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, including load calculations and member design.
Familiarity with building codes, design standards, and various construction materials.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interface with project stakeholders.
Proficient in 3D modeling, BIM software, and CAD drafting.
Experience in reviewing and validating structural shop drawings and submittals from contractors.
Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest industry best practices and design standards.
