Our client in the hospitality industry is looking for a dynamic Front Office Manager to oversee their reception and guest relations operations in Dar es Salaam. You will be the face of the establishment, ensuring that every guest receives a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their stay. Your primary goal will be to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction while optimizing front office processes and staff performance.

As the Front Office Manager, you will manage a team of receptionists, concierges, and bell staff, providing training and guidance to ensure excellence in service delivery. You will also be responsible for managing room inventory, handling guest complaints with professionalism, and coordinating with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. This role requires a balance of administrative efficiency and superior interpersonal skills.

Key Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field. Significant experience in front office operations within a reputable hotel or resort. Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee front desk personnel. Proficiency in Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) like Opera or Protel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili. Outstanding customer service skills with a guest-centric approach. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve guest issues effectively. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of revenue management and room inventory control. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
