FINANCE CONTROLLER / ANALYST (LOGISTICS) @ MOUNTMERUGROUP
Mount Meru Group is seeking a detail-driven Finance Controller / Analyst specializing in logistics to optimize transport cost models and bridge the gap between supply chain operations and financial data in Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for building advanced, formula-driven Excel cost models and reconciling physical operational metrics, such as GPS tracking and weighbridge logs, against financial accounts. This role is pivotal for maintaining precision in daily operational ledgers and requires a professional who can partner effectively with depot and weighbridge teams to resolve data discrepancies proactively. Furthermore, the Finance Controller will be tasked with identifying, investigating, and flagging financial anomalies or cost variances to mitigate risks within the organization. This position offers a dynamic environment where your financial expertise will directly impact the efficiency of our logistics network.
Key Requirements
4-8 years of experience in finance or cost analysis within transport, logistics, or manufacturing sectors.
Expert-level capability in building automated, scalable models using advanced Excel.
Proficiency in Tally ERP software or the agility to master it quickly.
Professional fluency in English; Swahili is a strong advantage for local operations.
Prior experience in Africa trading, Oil & Gas, or logistics sectors.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on reconciling physical and financial data.
Integrity-driven professional with a collaborative mindset.
Ability to analyze GPS tracking and weighbridge log data against financial ledgers.
Experience in risk mitigation and financial variance investigation.
Strong interpersonal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with operational teams.
