CHIEF ACCOUNTANT (UGANDAN NATIONAL ONLY) @ MOBISERVE TELECOM AND ENERGY SERVICES
Mobiserve Telecom and Energy Services is expanding its team and is looking for a dedicated Chief Accountant to manage its financial health in Kampala, Uganda. The role involves overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring financial excellence, and managing complex analytical tasks within the telecom and energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining rigorous financial standards and providing insights that support the company's growth in the region. This position is strictly for Ugandan nationals and offers a high-impact opportunity within a dynamic international firm. The Chief Accountant will lead a team and work closely with senior management to ensure all accounting practices align with legal and corporate requirements. Key duties include managing audits, overseeing tax filings, and producing detailed financial reports. Ideal candidates will possess a strong analytical background and extensive experience in progressive accounting roles within similar industries.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA Uganda or ACCA professional qualification (preferred).
7 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting.
Must be a Ugandan national as per the job requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Proven experience in overseeing accounting operations.
Excellent knowledge of local tax laws and regulations in Uganda.
Proficiency in advanced accounting software and ERP systems.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Experience working in the Telecom or Energy services sector.
