Mkwawa-LC is urgently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team immediately at the Dar es Salaam Head Office in Tanzania. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in technical office responsibilities, crucial for managing various aspects of mechanical engineering projects within the construction industry. This role requires a professional capable of handling detailed technical documentation and project coordination.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for a range of critical tasks including shop drawing preparation, managing quantity survey submittals for mechanical items, and meticulously reviewing material submittals to ensure compliance and quality. Furthermore, the role involves the preparation of purchase orders for materials and the timely generation of invoices. A strong background in firefighting, plumbing, and HVAC design, coupled with shop drawing proficiency, is essential. Familiarity with BIM technology and specific experience with Revit software are also key requirements for this position.
