LABORATORY TECHNICIAN @ MKWAWA-LC
Mkwawa-LC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our construction materials testing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory and field tests to ensure the quality and compliance of construction materials and products within various construction projects across Tanzania.
The role involves rigorous testing of concrete, aggregates, cement, and soil samples to meet safety and building standards. The technician will work closely with engineering teams to ensure all materials used meet the required structural integrity and compliance regulations. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and safety throughout the testing process.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Materials Technology, or Laboratory Technology.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction materials testing laboratory.
Proficiency in concrete testing procedures and quality control practices.
Familiarity with international standards such as ASTM or BS.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for reporting and record-keeping.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a construction team.
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and equipment calibration.
Proficiency in using testing software and data entry tools.
Understanding of soil mechanics and aggregate properties.
Effective communication skills for reporting test results to project managers.
