HSE ENGINEER (CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY) @ MKWAWA-LC
mkwawa-lc is urgently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated HSE Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tanzania. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of all personnel and operations within our construction projects. This position demands a professional with a robust background in construction safety, capable of implementing and maintaining stringent HSE policies and procedures across various sites. The primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive risk assessments, developing and enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with all local and international HSE regulations. You will be instrumental in fostering a strong safety culture, providing essential training, and leading incident investigations to prevent future occurrences. We are looking for a proactive individual who can effectively communicate safety standards and lead by example in a challenging and fast-paced construction environment.
Key Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as an HSE Engineer within the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and monitor effective HSE management systems.
Proficiency in conducting comprehensive risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections.
Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of staff.
Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) are highly preferred.
Ability to develop and deliver engaging HSE training programs.
Proficiency in preparing detailed HSE reports and documentation.
Proven track record of fostering a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement.
