Mkwawa Construction Company is inviting applications for the position of Welder in Zanzibar. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality welding, cutting, and metal fabrication tasks within a construction environment. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage structural steel installation and perform necessary repairs to ensure project integrity and safety compliance.
The role involves working closely with the construction team to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in various welding techniques and maintain a high standard of precision. Safety is paramount, and the candidate must adhere to all site procedures while maintaining and troubleshooting equipment to prevent project delays.

Key Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Welding or related field
Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in construction or steel fabrication
Ability to perform welding, cutting, and metal fabrication works
Experience in structural steel installation and repair
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints
Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards
Experience using manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
Ability to inspect finished welds for quality and specifications
Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity
