SITE FOREMAN - 1 POSITION @ MKWAWA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
Mkwawa Construction Company is looking for an experienced Site Foreman to lead our construction teams in Zanzibar. The Foreman will be responsible for the daily supervision of on-site activities, ensuring that work progresses according to the schedule and meets all technical specifications. This includes managing workers, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring the efficient use of materials and equipment. A successful candidate will prioritize a safe working environment and enforce all health and safety regulations on-site. You will act as the primary point of contact for technical queries from the workforce and provide regular progress updates to the project management team. We are seeking a proactive leader with a deep understanding of construction methods and the ability to solve practical challenges on the ground.
Key Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in building construction projects
Experience supervising construction site activities and workers
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site operations
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Ability to coordinate logistics and material deliveries
Proficiency in reading architectural and structural plans
Skill in scheduling labor and tracking project progress
Strong leadership and conflict-resolution abilities
Excellent communication skills for liaising between management and workers
