Mkwawa Construction is hiring a Laboratory Technician to join our quality control team in Zanzibar. The position focuses on performing rigorous testing of construction materials such as soil, concrete, and aggregates to ensure they meet the specific requirements of our infrastructure projects. The technician will be responsible for operating laboratory equipment and maintaining an organized, safe environment for material analysis. Key Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering, Laboratory Technology, or related field
Minimum 6–8 years’ experience in construction materials testing and laboratory operations
Experience in large construction or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of construction quality control standards and testing procedures
Ability to interpret technical specifications and laboratory results
Proficient in testing soils, concrete, and asphalt
Skill in maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
Experience in generating detailed laboratory reports for engineers
Knowledge of ISO laboratory quality management systems
Ability to work independently with high attention to detail
