ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - 2 POSITIONS @ MKWAWA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
Mkwawa Construction Company is looking for two experienced Electrical Engineers to manage and oversee electrical systems for our building projects in Zanzibar. The candidates will be tasked with the installation, testing, and maintenance of all electrical components on-site, ensuring full compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. The roles involve working closely with architects and project managers to design and implement efficient electrical solutions. Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, supervising technical staff, and ensuring that all power distribution systems operate reliably throughout the construction lifecycle. We are looking for motivated professionals with a proven track record in high-quality building electrical installations.
Key Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in building electrical installations and maintenance
Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems
Knowledge of low-voltage and high-voltage wiring standards
Experience with power distribution systems
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints
Understanding of local and international electrical safety codes
Skills in site coordination and technical report writing
Familiarity with lighting systems and emergency power solutions
Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
