BACKEND ENGINEER (GO) @ MISKAY BOUTIQUE
The Backend Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining the core services that power a growing e-commerce platform. This role involves full ownership of the Go-based backend, PostgreSQL databases, and AWS cloud infrastructure end-to-end. Key responsibilities include developing and deploying reliable backend services, managing AWS resources such as EC2, RDS, and S3, and ensuring the platform remains stable and efficient in a production environment. Salary: ₦400,000/month.
In addition to core development, the engineer will manage critical integrations involving payments, logistics, and inventory systems. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, focusing on shipping features, fixing bugs, and maintaining observability across the stack. The position offers a hybrid/remote work structure based in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, with occasional on-site requirements. Candidates should be comfortable owning systems from development through to production support and on-call response.

Key Requirements
2+ years of experience shipping production backend systems.
Solid proficiency in the Go (Golang) programming language.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL database design and management.
Working knowledge of AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch.
Strong troubleshooting instincts across code, infrastructure, and networks.
Ability to be self-directed and comfortable owning systems end-to-end.
Experience managing third-party integrations such as payments and logistics.
Proficiency in managing software deployments and basic cloud operations.
Knowledge of observability tools and basic on-call response procedures.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and e-commerce architecture.
