PRODUCT TECHNICIAN @ MGAS
The Product Technician at mgas is responsible for the technical support and maintenance of smart meter operations and related workshop activities. This role involves managing company assets such as laptops and mobile devices, ensuring they are configured correctly and kept secure. The technician will serve as a primary contact for basic IT and technical support, requiring a solid understanding of both Windows and Android ecosystems to assist with daily operational needs. Beyond technical maintenance, the position focuses on organizational excellence within the smart meter workshop. The candidate will collaborate with management to support technical activities and implement ITIL processes to improve service delivery. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a background in engineering or IT who is eager to learn about embedded hardware and firmware interactions in a professional setting.
Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar technical or IT support role.
Proven experience in configuring and supporting Windows 10 computers.
Hands-on experience in supporting and troubleshooting Android mobile devices.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 user and group administration.
Basic understanding of ITIL processes and standard technical terminology.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and technical procedures.
Familiarity with hardware-firmware interactions and embedded systems is an advantage.
Ability to manage and secure company support resources including tools and laptops.
Strong organizational skills to maintain a tidy and secure workshop environment.
