SCIENCE & MATHEMATICS TEACHER @ METL
We are seeking a dedicated Science and Mathematics Teacher to join an International School located in Masaki, Dar es Salaam. The primary responsibility will be to teach Grade 5 and 6 students, following the Cambridge curriculum to provide a high standard of education while fostering a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic excellence in STEM subjects. The role involves planning and delivering interactive lessons, assessing student performance, and communicating effectively with parents and school administration to support each child's development. The candidate should be passionate about education and capable of adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students in an international setting. Key Requirements
Extensive experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum for primary levels.
Specific expertise in teaching Science and Mathematics to Grade 5 and 6 students.
A valid teaching certification or a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or Math.
Proven track record of improving student progress and engagement in STEM subjects.
Skills in developing creative and engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learners.
Previous experience working in a multicultural or international school environment.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive environment.
Proficiency in using interactive whiteboards and modern educational software.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective parent-teacher communication.
Capacity to organize and lead extracurricular science or math-related clubs.
