CREDIT ACCOUNTANT @ MEND EAST AFRICA LTD
We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Accountant to manage loan portfolio accounting for our financial services client. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring that all lending activities adhere to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
The Credit Accountant will play a crucial role in financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of the portfolio data. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in accounting within a regulated environment and possess the ability to work with complex financial data sets.

Key Requirements
3+ years of experience in accounting
Experience in microfinance, banking, or regulated financial services
Proficiency in loan portfolio accounting and reconciliations
Solid understanding of financial reporting standards
Ability to maintain strict internal controls
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions
Knowledge of local tax and regulatory financial requirements
Experience with accounting software packages
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or CPA/ACCA qualification
