Medewell Hospital is hiring a Specialist Physician specializing in Internal or Family Medicine to provide comprehensive primary and inpatient care. The role involves managing a broad spectrum of long-term chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, while also leading preventative health initiatives including screenings and vaccinations. The physician will be responsible for interpreting complex lab tests and imaging studies, performing minor office-based procedures, and coordinating specialist referrals. Accurate record-keeping and maintenance of EMR progress notes are essential to this position.
Based at our Kibaha, Mpakani facility, the Specialist Physician will serve as a key member of the medical staff, ensuring that diagnostic and treatment plans align with established medical standards. Key Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited Family/Internal Medicine Residency program.
Active, unrestricted Medical Council of Tanzania (MCT) license.
Proficiency with modern EMR systems.
Expertise in long-term chronic condition management.
Ability to interpret laboratory and imaging reports.
Skill in performing routine minor office procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills for patient counseling.
Evidence of continuous medical education and professional development.
Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary hospital teams.
