ENGINEER – MINING PROJECTS (ERECTION WORKS) @ MAX STEEL AFRICA
Max Steel Africa is inviting applications for the position of Engineer – Mining Projects, specifically focusing on Erection Works for our ongoing and upcoming projects in Tanzania. This role is critical for the successful implementation of infrastructure in the mining sector, requiring a dedicated engineer to oversee the physical assembly and installation of steel structures on-site. The candidate must be adept at managing field operations, ensuring that all erection activities are completed safely, on time, and in strict accordance with engineering designs. The Engineer will be responsible for coordinating with site teams, managing equipment logistics, and ensuring all safety and quality standards are strictly adhered to in the challenging environment of a mining site. Candidates should have a strong background in structural erection and a passion for engineering excellence in the heavy industry sector.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy industrial erection.
Strong ability to interpret complex structural blueprints.
Demonstrated project management experience in mining environments.
Skills in supervising multidisciplinary site teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of mining site safety protocols.
Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling tools.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Readiness to work in various field conditions across Tanzania.
Possession of relevant professional engineering licenses.
